Donald Sutherland's former Californoa home lists for rent
For the last decade, Canadian actor Donald Sutherland has called Miami Beach his home.
But before moving to the Sunshine State, the 86-year-old lived on the West Coast in an oceanfront Santa Monica pad for 36 years between 1970 and 2006.
Designed by the legendary actor, the townhome, located at 1366 Palisades Beach Road, is now up for rent asking $12,000 per month, The Post has learned.
It was perviously owned by music executive Neil Jacobson until he sold it for close to $3 million in 2016. It has since gone on and off the rental market.
Made up of three bedrooms and two baths, the beachfront property occupies roughly 1,200 square feet.
“Boasting a charming nautical theme throughout, this property offers a picturesque seaside lifestyle with breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and stunning sunsets,” the listing notes.
Just a short walk from the Santa Monica Pier, the home features a spa-like dual shower and steam room in the master bedroom.

The kitchen features designer lighting with Thermador and Miele appliances. The living room comes with a gas fireplace.
The home also boasts a glass deck overlooking the ocean, sand and promenade, the listing says.
Michael Grady and Natalie Courtright of The Agency hold the listing.
Today, Sutherland lives with his wife, Francine Racette, in a modest two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom ocean-view condo in Miami Beach purchased in 2012 for $1.6 million, records show.
