Ukrainian women flash helicopter fighter pilots to boost morale
Women in Ukraine are baring it all to support their troops and boost morale.
Ukrainian women are supposedly flashing fighter helicopter pilots as they do their daily flyovers, a member of the country’s air force told the UK’s Sunday Times.
Maksym, a pilot who declined to give his last name, shared that he and his fellow airmen have been flying daily missions to Bakhmut, an eastern city in Ukraine.
The men fly Soviet-designed Mil Mi-8 helicopters as low as 15 feet above the ground.
The low-flying routes allow them to avoid Russian air defense and get a good view of the boob-scape.
He said that his crew saves the GPS locations of places where they spot a flasher and appreciate the flash of fun support amid the war.
Maksym shared that one woman even proposed to a pilot using a handmade sign.
The pilots try to reciprocate the civilian engagement when they can. Maksym said that his team recently dropped a towel-wrapped bottle of cognac to an elderly man they spotted in the middle of the fighting.
Unfortunately, Maksym’s team has been dwindling, as he explained the Russian air force is much better equipped.

Half of his unit has been killed off as Ukraine has limited ammunition left and no aircraft that can compete with Russia’s newest models.
“The Russians understand we can do nothing to them in the air,” he said.
This comes after President Biden said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has “already lost” his war in Ukraine and that it’s only a matter of time until he accepts it as fact.
Biden made the bold pronouncement during a visit to Finland to celebrate the longtime neutral Russian neighbor’s admission to NATO this past April following Moscow’s invasion in February 2022.
“Putin’s already lost the war,” Biden said during a joint press conference with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö.

The president effectively declared victory by Kyiv even as it carries out a slow-moving counteroffensive meant to take back Russian-controlled areas of southern and eastern Ukraine.
He also ridiculed a reporter saying that Ukraine would join NATO quite quickly after the end of its war with Russia during the annual NATO summit in Lithuania’s capital.
“How soon after the war would you like to join NATO?” a reporter asked Zelensky, who had criticized the Atlantic alliance for withholding an invitation to join until after the war.
Biden answered the question instead.
“An hour and 20 minutes,” said the president, adding jeeringly, “You guys ask really insightful questions.”
