Unseen photo of Charlotte taken by Kate released ahead of Coronation
A happy and relaxed Princess Charlotte is captured by the photographer she knows best - her mother - in a heartwarming picture to mark her eighth birthday on Tuesday.
Displaying a charming gap-toothed smile, the birthday girl posed for the Princess of Wales in Windsor over the weekend for an official photograph celebrating the occasion.
Charlotte, who is expected to join her siblings Prince George, nine, and Prince Louis, five, at the Coronation next weekend, has a big few days coming up.
The Princess, who will be back at school on Tuesday, had an early birthday treat over the weekend when her mother took her to see the ballet Cinderella at the Royal Opera House.
Charlotte, who is third in line to the throne, has been mad about ballet for several years and was accompanied by several friends on the trip to the opera house in Covent Garden, central London to see the performance of a joint production by the Royal Ballet and the National Ballet of Canada.
