CLEVELAND (WJW) – Tornado warnings have been canceled, but thunderstorm watches and flood warnings are still in place across Northeast Ohio.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued in Ohio through 11 p.m. Thursday, including in several Northeast Ohio counties. Those counties include Ashland, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Holmes, Huron, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Sandusky, Stark, Summit, Trumbull and Wayne Counties.

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Cuyahoga County until 10:30 p.m.

A Flood Advisory has also also been issued for most counties.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued an Enhanced Risk (3 on a scale of 1 to 5) for northern Ohio.

Window for widespread storms is between 5 and 9 p.m. Coverage will be 80-90%. Main threats include downpours, large hail and damaging winds.

We have been upgraded to an “ENHANCED” risk.

Linger shower into Friday. Nothing significant. Cooler.

Humidity and temps fall Friday and Saturday then increase slightly.

No long-term signs of LONG stretches of above normal heat AND humidity through the remainder of July. Some brief periods of heat at the end of next week.
