With The Crew Motorfest closed beta starting today, PC players are noting their frustration with the game’s seemingly poor PC performance. Players have been taking to social media citing slow speeds regardless of game resolution along with a number of other issues.

Taking to The Crew 2 Reddit, one player said, “This is unplayable.” The PC player dived into further detail in their post asking, “Any fix for the 20 fps lock? I get 12-22 FPS with an RTX 4070TI, I7 13700K, DDR5 32GB ram and a 990 PRO SSD with a resolution of 1920×1080. No matter the graphics or the resolution the game does not use my hardware at all. The game runs with about 10-20% utilisation on both CPU and GPU.”

This seems to be an issue affecting multiple PC players with one user reporting repeated crashes when loading up the game. Others seemed relieved that it wasn’t just a problem with their hardware as one player said, “I’m happy it’s not just me. I’d assume it’s an issue on their end and it’s getting worked on?”

Another player shared the original poster’s grievances saying, “I’m having the same problem I start the game on all low as an example it’s at 45fps and as time goes on it gets slower and slower up to the point of 7 FPS it doesn’t move from any of these little FPS things it does like let’s say it moves to 15 fps it stays there doesn’t go up or down until it changed to 14.”

Over on Twitter players have also been calling on Ubisoft to fix the performance issues for PC players. One player said, “Fix the fps problem on pc literally unplayable.” It should be noted that this version of the game is still a beta so it’s possible this issue could be fixed before or after the beta’s conclusion. However, the poor performance isn’t boding well for many Motorfest fans on PC.
