49ers' Deebo Samuel fails to rank among ESPN's top 10 WRs
By David Bonilla Jul 19
Deebo Samuel has proven that he can be a game-changer. The San Francisco 49ers star is more than a wide receiver. He's a threat carrying the football out of the backfield too. Once in the open field with the ball in his hands, the wideout is tough to bring down. Samuel gave opposing defensive coordinators headaches in 2021, racking up 1,770 all-purpose yards and 14 total touchdowns in a breakout campaign. His 2022 body of work was far less impressive. That might explain why the 49ers player failed to crack ESPN writer Jeremy Fowler's list of the top 10 NFL wide receivers. Samuel did
"Definitely editing": 49ers' Javon Hargrave unhappy with Madden 24 rating
By David Bonilla Jul 18
Madden NFL 2024, the latest entry in the popular video game series, has been revealing its player ratings in the game. One San Francisco 49ers player is not pleased with his rating. While defensive end Nick Bosa owns a 98 overall rating and is tied with Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns for the second-highest graded defensive lineman, behind only Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave owns an 84 overall rating in the game. According to the game's official Twitter account, that ranks No. 17 among defensive linemen. Hargrave voiced his displeasure with a tweet of his own. "Definitely editing lol," the defender

Every offseason the San Francisco 49ers quarterback drama dominates the news. It's a regular talking point among national media, with wild takes that stir up the fanbase. They do this because they know that any 49ers QB talk will get a lot of attention. Apparently, the wilder the better, because some crazy things have been said about the San Francisco signal-callers over the past four off-seasons. Then you add in local beat writers and the many talented 49ers content creators who are all forced to discuss these things because of the national attention, and you have non-stop quarterback talk surrounding this team. If you're tired of hearing about the QBs, you're not alone. We're tired of talking and writing about them, as well. And while the quarterback position
Steve Young wonders if 49ers have a QB that can win it all
By David Bonilla Jul 20
Steve Young believes the days of talented teams getting to the Super Bowl without an elite quarterback are over. You're not going to see a team like the Denver Broncos get there with "Peyton Manning with one arm" anymore, the Hall of Fame quarterback said. So where does that leave the San Francisco 49ers? They have as talented a roster as anyone in the league. Their biggest offseason uncertainty is at quarterback, though. "Do we have a quarterback that can match those four or five guys that can go light it up with their arms and go get those yards with their legs in a big, huge moment?" Young asked on the "49ers Talk" podcast with Matt Maiocco. Brock Purdy suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow in the NFC Championship Game
