“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the “47 Meters Down: Uncaged” actress, 29, wrote in a statement posted to social media at the time. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
Foxx and his family stayed mum about the illness for months following his hospitalization.
However, he checked into a Chicago rehab facility that specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab and cancer rehabilitation.

Although rumors began to swirl that Foxx’s health had taken a turn for the worse, Corinne denied the speculation, saying that her dad “has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating.”
Despite the speculation, Foxx has been spotted out and about in the last couple of weeks.
