Chicago Cubs Announce 2024 Spring Training Schedule
Today the Chicago Cubs announced their tentative 2024 Spring Training schedule for February and March, with a total of 34 games (18 at Sloan Park, 16 on the road).
The Cubs are scheduled to open up the Cactus League slate on February 23 against the White Sox at home, and they wrap with a couple games against the Cardinals at home on March 25 and 26. The Cardinals spring in Florida, so I’m guessing those will be “exhibition” games as opposed to Cactus League games. (The Cardinals open their season in Los Angeles on March 28, so I expect that’s why the weird travel is happening; wonder if the Cubs will be expected to return the favor some year in the future.)
The Cubs have just two scheduled off days, and four scheduled split-squad days. The games are all subject to change, with the possibility of more games being added. No game times are announced yet, but the games are almost all in the early afternoon.
