JoJo Siwa admitted that she was 'okay' with calling Candace Cameron Bure the 'rudest celebrity' following their feud and actress's past 'traditional marriage' remarks.

The Dance Moms alum, 20, who previously labeled the Full House star, 47, the 'rudest celebrity' that she had met in a TikTok last year, addressed her present feelings towards the actress in a recent The Viall Files podcast episode that aired Thursday.

Soon after the TikTok video was uploaded in July 2022, Bure had apologized to the Boomerang singer, initially thawing the ice.

However, late last year in November, Candace expressed that 'traditional marriage' would be the 'core' focus on her Great American Family channel, rather than LGBTQ+, which didn't sit too well with JoJo.

During the podcast episode, Siwa - who is pansexual - revealed that at first, she felt regret over her TikTok video, but explained that now, she felt 'okay' for 'calling her [Bure] out.'

The performer explained that although portraying heterosexual relationships in movies was fine, she wasn't okay with the reasoning being out of 'spite.'

'It’s fine if you are doing it because it’s just your movie’s storyline and it’s just it is what it is, like, not everything needs to be gay essentially,' the star added.

'But when you’re doing it out of spite to say that, "Too much is about LGBTQIA+ and you guys suck and I want to make a movie about traditional marriage and you’re not traditional," that got to me a little bit.'

Siwa continued, 'It was like the article said Candace Cameron says no to gays,' and later added, 'After that, it gave me a little sense of, "Okay, you and her are never going to agree."'

'You and her are never going to be friends, you and her are never going to get along...I'm never going to be able to change her, she's not going to be able to change me, we can both just live life, we can both just have fun.'

'But I wish she was able to be a little more open, a little more accepting. I'm okay with calling her out in the way that I did.'

She also admitted, 'For a while I regretted it,' referencing to her TikTok video, 'but after I found out that article about her not wanting anything to do with LGBTQIA, you know, that’s my people. You know what I mean? And I have to stand up for my people.'

Their drama began one year earlier in July 2022 when JoJo posted a TikTok video that showed her holding up pictures on her phone of celebrities while explaining in captions how she felt about them.

She would turn her phone towards the camera to show pictures of the stars, but then swiftly snap the screen back towards her, initially making it difficult to see the photos.

Viewers were able to pause and take screenshots to confirm who the social media star was referencing to.

At the beginning of the clip, JoJo started off right away by exposing Candace as the rudest celebrity she had come across.

Siwa later recalled the moment that had caused her to label the actress as 'rude,' and expressed that when she was only 11-years-old, she had attended a red carpet event with other Full House cast members.

However, when she had asked Cameron to take a photo, JoJo claimed that the star had responded with 'not right now' and never returned to take a picture with the dancer while moving on for photos with others.

After the TikTok went viral, Bure personally called Siwa to apologize over the past situation and also issued a video statement of her own to admit that hearing JoJo's story 'broke her heart.'

'I broke your 11-year-old heart. Please know that as a mom that it breaks my heart that I made you feel that way,' she explained, and later added, 'Honestly I was shocked when I saw the TikTok on Sunday and had no idea where it came from.'

After finding JoJo's contact information, she revealed that the pair had a 'great conversation,' and Cameron concluded the clip by giving viewers advice.

'I think the lesson we can learn is to be mindful. That no matter how may followers you have, even a ten second trending TikTok video can do damage, because our words matter and our actions matter.'

Nearly three months after the viral TikTok, and the pair had a 'great' phone conversation following the incident, JoJo revealed to E! News in October 2022 where she stood with the actress.

'I'll be honest. I haven't spoken to her at all since the whole thing [went down]. I think she's alive and thriving. I think I'm alive and thriving,' she admitted.

When asked if the feud has been laid to rest, the singer answered, 'We're…civil? I don't know. I've got like three problems since that one so we're moved on.'

But in November 2022, Candace came under fire after an interview with the Wall Street Journal where she opened up about her channel, Great American Family. Back in April of last year, the network hired the actress to be the chief content officer.

She had gushed about joining the Great American Family network and stated, 'I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose. GAC fits my brand perfectly; we share a vision of creating compelling wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family.'

Bure then added, 'I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core.'

The star then received backlash not just from JoJo, but also other celebrities such as actress Hilarie Burton.

Siwa took to her Instagram and expressed, 'Honestly, I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press. This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.'

Following the backlash, Candace hit back at the criticism by issuing a statement to People at the time. 'It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone.'

'It saddens me that the media is often seeking to divide us, even around a subject as comforting and merry as Christmas movies. But, given the toxic climate in our culture right now, I shouldn't be surprised. We need Christmas more than ever,' the actress added.

'I am a devoted Christian. Which means that I believe that every human being bears the image of God. Because of that, I am called to love all people, and I do. If you know me, you know that I am a person who loves fiercely and indiscriminately.'

Response: Following the backlash, Candace hit back at the criticism by issuing a statement to People at the time. 'It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone'

She continued, 'My heart yearns to build bridges and bring people one step closer to God, to love others well, and to simply be a reflection of God's huge love for all of us.'

Candace then sent love to 'the media responsible for using this opportunity to fan flames of conflict and hate' as well as to 'everyone reading this, of any race, creed, sexuality, or political party.'

'I had also expressed in my interview, which was not included, that people of all ethnicities and identities have and will continue to contribute to the network in great ways both in front of and behind the camera, which I encourage and fully support.'

Shortly after Candace's statement, JoJo told People that the chances of both she and the actress ever speaking were quite low. 'We have not [talked], and I don't think we ever will again.'
