Man found shot, killed at east side gas station
INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed Friday night at an east side gas station.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to a gas station near East 34th Street & North Emerson Avenue just before midnight.
When officers arrived, they located a man shot inside a vehicle. He was taken to an area hospital critical condition, but later died.
Police believe the man had been shot while he was in the parked vehicle just outside the gas station. The suspect ran from the scene shortly after.
Police believe there were several people who witnessed the shooting, but fled for safety.
