Kingdom Hearts III Fan Mod "Another Road" Adds Fully Playable Young Xehanort; New Animations, Keyblades, Formchanges & More
Kingdom Hearts modding projects continue to be exceptional, with a recently released one for Kingdom Hearts III being quite ambitious. Titled Another Road, fans Kurasanick, Mr Puzzles, and many other collaborators have gone through significant effort in making Young Xehanort fully playable.
Fans can play as the antagonist as his standard appearance in most worlds, the No Heart armor from Birth by Sleep in San Fransokyo, and a hooded variation of Young Xehanort in Monstropolis.
Plus, there are new Focus Skill mechanics, new animations, new Keyblades, and new Formchanges. You can view the list of implemented Keyblade replacements that activate the new Formchanges below:
No Name over Kingdom Key
Birth by Sleep No Name over Elemental Encoder
Master’s Defender over Hero’s Origin
Gazing Eye over Oblivion
Void Gear over Oathkeeper

In Kingdom Hearts IV, Sora is in Quadratum with Strelitzia, a prominent character from Kingdom Hearts Union χ. This setting is an afterworld for the two characters following their tragic fates.
Additionally, this new saga has been titled the Lost Master Arc. Further, some combat footage was showcased, with Sora performing Keyblade transformations against a giant entity that seems to be a Heartless? We don’t know for sure.
“The heart resides within the soul, which in turn is guided by fate to its rightful place” is a crucial phrase used at the start of this trailer for the upcoming mainline game.
Kingdom Hearts IV is in development with an unknown release date and unconfirmed platforms.
