Gwyneth Paltrow’s Montecito guest house is up for rent on Airbnb

If you’re feeling lonely this summer, Airbnb seems to think a one-night stay in Gwyneth Paltrow’s guest house will fix that. That’s the new pitch from the duo at least, which announced the actress’s Montecito property is about to become available.
The one-bedroom, one-bathroom listing is up now on Airbnb for two guests on Sept. 9, but guests won’t be able to book it until 10 a.m. Pacific time on Aug. 15. The listing is set at $0 and it’s unclear how the vacation rental site will choose who gets to book the stay, given that there is sure to be plenty of interest.

Paltrow gave her Instagram followers a sneak peak of the house with a video tour of the property she posted Tuesday. “Loneliness is a human condition, but in the past few years, increased isolation and our lack of community has made our lives even more fragmented,” she wrote in the caption. “... While we may begin as strangers, I hope we’ll find connections and commonalities over a delicious meal.”
Paltrow points out the wood-burning fireplace, the high ceilings in the bedroom and a large soaking tub in the bathroom as she walks barefoot through the space. The Oscar-winning actress also mentions it will be stocked with her favorite Goop products, a shameless plug for her brand and promises “your skin is going to be better when you leave than when you came.”
Later, in the wine room, Paltrow says guests will be able to choose whatever bottle of wine they like from her cellar to have alongside dinner with her and her husband, television writer Brad Falchuk.

Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky even makes a cameo in the video after Paltrow shows off the giant pool, saying “I’ve seen a lot of homes and I think this is one of the best homes I’ve ever seen.”

Paltrow will be there to greet the chosen guests when they arrive, the listing says, and since there will be “goop-inspired meals and snacks” provided, they should let her know about allergies or dietary restrictions.
Amenities listed on the booking page include the essentials like Wi-Fi, shampoo and air conditioning, and heat, but noticeably crossed out is a hair dryer. Come on, Paltrow, even a mediocre hotel room usually comes with a hair dryer.

“My Montecito home is my sanctuary for respite and mental clarity. I go there to recharge, to daydream about what we’re building at goop and to reconnect with my family and treasured friends,” Paltrow wrote in the listing description on Airbnb. “Whether you’re seeking a place for unexpected connection or for well-deserved solitude and reflection, when you come to stay, I hope you’ll get as much joy out of the home as I do.”
It’s unclear whether the guest will get to tour Paltrow’s massive main house, which has been dubbed an “eco mansion.”

The stunning enclave of Montecito, in Santa Barbara County, has become notorious for its celebrity residents, including Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.
