One thing this week has proven is that Jessica Alba remains a pop culture force.

New Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers teased his new teammate, 22-year-old star defensive back Sauce Gardner, for not knowing who Alba was when she was also seated courtside at the Knicks playoff game on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

On Thursday, the actress herself jumped into the fray.

Alba, 42, responded to a clip from a Jets press conference in which Gardner admitted he did not recognize her.

“Lol,” Alba tweeted. “I totally see how this kid Sauce got his name, he said to my girl [actress Lizzy Mathis] ‘How can I get caught up when I’m the catch.’

“But in all honesty he was actually very polite with his elder @AaronRodgers12 and everyone else in the room. It was nice meeting you @iamSauceGardner.”

She signed the note as “Honey and Storm,” her characters in the movies “Honey” and “The Fantastic Four.”

Gardner, never shy, had a near-immediate response.

“Damnn it’s been 2 days and you still remember what I said word for word.. I just might be HIM,” Gardner tweeted, with a laughing emoji. “Nah, but I had a good time with you, @ElizabethMxo, and my chaperone loll @AaronRodgers12.”

Rodgers chimed in as well, joking about getting called old.

“Chaperone??? Elder???” Rodgers asked, with three laughing emojis. “You are funny @iamSauceGardner, glad to be helping you meet new people.”

Rodgers added a flexing emoji for good measure.

With the Hollywood writers’ strike in full force, TV executives should be jumping all over each other to film a three-hour special with Rodgers, Gardner, Alba and Mathis eating at a fancy New York City establishment regular folks could only dream of getting a table at.

Rodgers has been ingratiating himself to his teammates at high-profile sporting events, taking Gardner to dinner before the Knicks game and promising to help him improve upon his Rookie of the Year-winning season — and maybe get the hang of the celebrity life.

“He’s just a great guy to be around,” Gardner said Wednesday. “It was great vibes, but that whole night he would just keep asking me out of nowhere, like ‘do you know who that person is? I’m like ‘bro, that’s Amar’e Stoudemire, I know who that is. Now you’re just picking on me.’”

In addition to the game with Gardner, Rodgers took Allen Lazard, the wideout whom he recruited over from Green Bay, to an earlier Knicks game.

Rodgers also took in a Rangers-Devils playoff game with Lazard, running back Breece Hall, center Connor McGovern and backup QB Tim Boyle
