Elden Ring Player Shows Off Neat Tricks With Ash of War: Sky Shot
An Elden Ring player shows off some neat tricks to use with the Ash of War: Sky Shot. Elden Ring's combat encompasses a wide variety of playstyles, allowing players to mix and match to better fit whatever works best for them. Already there have been multiple players able to beat some of Elden Ring's hardest bosses while only at Rune level 1, some of which utilize a special item in the game known as Ashes of War. While specific ashes of war have certainly helped make fights easier, some are not seen as often. One of these is the Ash of War: Sky Shot.

Ashes of War are unique items that give players abilities to use with specific weapons. While players have certainly been able to get through many of Elden Ring's fights, for some, it may be more viable to rely upon a special ability that can turn the tide of a boss fight, like when one player was able to beat Elden Ring's Godfrey using the Ash of War: Lightning Slash. With Ashes of War, players with specific builds can have an easier time adapting to situations that their build may not lend itself easily to.

One Elden Ring player found some interesting new uses for the Ash of War: Sky Shot. Posting to r/Eldenring, user Sanitarium118 uploaded a short clip showcasing the various ways a player can utilize Sky Shot. In the video, they first mention that Sky Shot is not quick-firing, being an Ash of War that takes a while to hit the target after being activated. However, they show that the player can layer the Sky Shot with other attacks like a normal arrow shot, leading it as the Sky Shot will hit first and stagger the enemy.
The video also shows that the player can do jump shots, rolling shots, and more while the sky shot is still hurtling toward the enemy. In the end, though, they do acknowledge that this won't work as well with moving enemies, meaning it's best used as a skill for immobile ones. Perhaps this is a good Ash of War to use for any more stealth-focused Elden Ring players who want to kill a host with a flurry of arrow attacks.
Elden Ring is a game that allows players to try new things, whether it's a new weapon or an Ash of War. Players going for different, interesting builds help expand upon the already wide-reaching capabilities of the game's combat system, like one Elden Ring player who took down the Fire Giant with a Squidward build. Elden Ring gives the freedom to explore, and players should take it up more often to find new ways to play.
Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
