In 2020, Tesla first announced that the model would be able to hit the 200 mph speed mark, but the automaker wanted to develop faster breaks before releasing the performance package. The new package is priced at $20,000 USD, which comes with the carbon ceramic brake kit and the wheel and tire package. The brake kit package can be purchased separately for $15,000 USD and the wheel and tire package for $6,000. However, the ceramic brake kit is required to unlock the 200 mph top speed.
The new track package releases in June and can be purchased from the Tesla app.
In case you missed it, Elon Musk’s Boring Company will expand its Las Vegas tunnel network to 65 miles.
