An arrest warrant for former UFC star Nate Diaz has been issued by the New Orleans Police Department on suspicion of second-degree battery, according to multiple reports.

Diaz, 38, appeared to choke out TikTok personality Rodney Petersen unconscious during a wild altercation on Bourbon Street in a video that surfaced following the MMA legend attending a boxing card Friday night at the XULA Convention Center, where he supported teammate Chris Avila in Avila’s victory over Paul Bamba.

Police told ESPN they were alerted to a “large altercation” on Bourbon Street at 2 a.m. Saturday morning and after an investigation an arrest warrant was issued for Diaz, who is not in custody as of Monday night.

Peterson, a look-alike for YouTube and WWE star Logan Paul, appears to engage Diaz — who then locked him in a standing guillotine choke and let him drop to the concrete.

Police told ESPN that an EMS was called to attend to a man who was bleeding from the back of his head.

Peterson, in a video post on Monday by the Overflow Twitter account, said he didn’t know what sparked the fight and showed off a gruesome and bloody head injury.

“So, I don’t know what the hell I did to Nate Diaz,” Peterson, who appeared to have blood smeared across his neck, said.

“But I tell you what, I’m going to knock him the f–k out when I know he’s coming. You caught me off-guard dude. What’d you think I was Logan?”

Peterson has had some experience in combat sports. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belt has had one pro boxing match and fought as an amateur in MMA.

Diaz, who completed his UFC contract last year, is scheduled to face Logan Paul’s brother, Jake, in a boxing match on Aug. 5 in Dallas.

The Paul brothers spoofed the altercation in their own Twitter video, with Jake calling Diaz a “homeless Stockton man.”
