Presenting the future of the British monarchy.
Buckingham Palace released a photo of newly crowned King Charles III alongside his heirs, son Prince William and grandson Prince George, on Friday.
In the snap, Charles sat on his throne while wearing the Robe of Estate and the Imperial State Crown. He also held the Sovereign’s Orb and Sovereign’s Scepter with Cross.
Meanwhile, William, 40, stood proudly on Charles’ right side wearing a ceremonial dress uniform.
On the other side, 9-year-old George beamed from ear to ear while wearing his page uniform.
The photo, captured by Hugo Burnand, was taken in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace just hours after the coronation ceremony ended.

While the trio have posed together for official portraits before, this is the first time they’ve done it without Queen Elizabeth II.
The last time the late queen posed with her immediate heirs was in January 2020, two years before her death. The Queen reigned for 70 years.
Yet the new-look monarchy may take a little getting used to now there are “no more queens.”

“Fantastic picture of The King and heirs,” one follower commented. “Her late Majesty would be immensely proud.”
“Beautiful picture ❤️ the late queen would love this,” someone else wrote. “I’m sure she’s watching all this and is so proud.”

“Could as well be the Queen at first glance, 😂” another joked.
Yet other royal fans focused less on who was in the picture and more on who wasn’t in it.

“I want to see one with Prince Harry 🙌,” one follower wrote.
“Your other son should be standing right bedside [sic] you too. You don’t just treat family as second class citizens. I don’t blame him for writing his truth,” a fifth commented.
“No Harry, No thanks. All the kids or none of them,” another user added.
While it’s unclear if Prince Harry was invited to pose for official portraits, the exiled royal left the UK right after the coronation ended to get home in time for his son Archie’s 4th birthday party.

In fact, the Duke of Sussex reportedly did not see or speak to his estranged family outside of the ceremony, leaving them wondering why he “bothered to come at all.”
Harry has been on thin ice with his father and brother since he quit his royal duties in 2020.
Their relationship only worsened after he and wife Meghan Markle aired the family’s dirty laundry in his memoir, “Spare,” and their Netflix series, “Harry & Meghan.”
Although King Charles has yet to give up hope for their relationship, we’re told Prince William may never forgive his younger brother.
