Eurovision 2023 Winner’s Press Conference with Loreen
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 winner Loreen from Sweden came off the stage and headed straight into the Winner’s Press Conference to share her reaction.

After winning Europe’s heart for a second time, Loreen headed to the Media Centre to speak to the press and fans about her winning song Tattoo.
Loreen was hoping for a second euphoria, and she got it. She is now the proud owner of two Eurovision trophies. She was full of emotion as she headed into the Press Conference, and journalists from around the world were ready with their burning questions.
As she took a seat she began by saying:
“Everything feels surreal. I am seriously overwhelmed. This is so beautiful. One feeling I have in my body that’s taken over is just gratitude.”

Loreen last won the Contest in Baku in 2012 with her song Euphoria, and at the 2023 Contest she became the second person ever to win a double crown. When asked how the 2023 Contest feels in comparison to her 2023 experience, she said:
“In 2012 everything was new for me. This time it’s like coming back to a family. We know each other by now. This experience was more motherly and effortless.”
Martin Österdahl, Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor, congratulated Loreen:
“A huge congratulations to Sweden. You’ve made history tonight. Loreen, you are the first female performer to win twice.”
When she was asked how it feels to have that accolade, Loreen was initially lost for words. When she’d got her thoughts in order, she said:
“I feel proud. The song has certain values. It’s about hope, it’s about self-love, it’s about strength. It resonates with people.”
Loreen’s co-songwriters joined the press conference too, and explained that when they wrote Tattoo, they knew it could be a winning Eurovision song.

When asked whether Loreen could share the secret to winning Eurovision twice, she said:
“I think the key to any success is being authentic. And to be authentic you have to know yourself.”
Unsurprisingly, there was speculation about whether Loreen might go for a third win. She neither confirmed nor denied a reach for a third Eurovision crown, but promised there will be more music and a tour.
“I’m the type of person who follows joy and happiness. That’s where you’re gonna find me.”
As Loreen left the Press Conference and had her photo taken, the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 officially came to an end. When Sweden hosts in 2024, it will be exactly 50 years since ABBA took home the Eurovision trophy.
