Ross Mathews shed some serious weight the old-fashioned way.
“I’ve lost like 60 pounds, but I’ve kept it [off] for like three years,” the “Drew Barrymore Show” co-host told Page Six exclusively at the 2023 GLAAD Media Awards Gala on Saturday.
Mathews, 43, shared that he managed to slim down by cooking for himself.
“Eating my ‘rossipes,’ choice by choice, deciding to stick around for as long as humanely possible,” he added before noting that “you never win this battle … you win by being in the fight.”

The “RuPaul’s Drag Race” judge also clarified that he did not take any popular weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, which many “Real Housewives” and celebrities are currently on.
“I didn’t take anything to lose it,” he told us, “but no judgment to anyone who did.”

He added, “My choices are just, like, yummy, good, healthy food. I call them my ‘rossipes,’ and I cook every day.”

One food group that Mathews dumped was pizza.
“I broke up with pizza, and then I fell in love with the love of my life, my husband, and we just take really good care of each other,” he said.

The former “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” intern met the education leader during a 2020 vacation to Mexico, weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic shut the world down.
Mathews, who was based in Los Angeles, and García, a New York City resident, dated long-distance for months. Mathews proposed not long after moving to the Big Apple for Barrymore’s show and has said that the host, 48, “fast-tracked” their romance.
“If it weren’t for my relationship with Drew, I don’t know that Welly and I would be getting married already,” he told Page Six ahead of the wedding. “It might have taken some more time to figure out the logistics of it all.”

One of the “Name Drop” author’s favorite things to do is explore the city with García.
“You walk a lot here,” he exclaimed to us on Saturday, noting that he does not need to go to a gym to keep the weight off.
“I love when my husband and I get off work and we just walk and explore, and you never really know what you’re going to find,” he explained. “We don’t really make reservations. It’s like, ‘What place are we going to pop into?’ It helps that we eat at 5:30. You can always get in!”
