Sarah Jessica Parker shares tribute while celebrating 26 years of marriage with Matthew Broderick
Sarah Jessica Parker paid tribute to her husband Matthew Broderick on their 26th wedding anniversary.
On Saturday, the Sex And The City actress seemingly shared some of the details of how the couple celebrated their marriage milestone in an Instagram post that featured the simple photo of a champagne cork.
'Happy 26th anniversary, my husband,' Parker, 58, began in the caption. 'That sure was a nice celebration and a real nice bottle of champagne. And a gorgeous walk home.'
She ended the special post by reflecting back on the many years they have shared: 'Oh the miles we have strolled together. I love you. XOX, your SJ.'
The couple first met back in November 1991 when her brothers Pippin and Tobey Parker co-founded the Naked Angels Theater Company in New York City, and Broderick was hired to direct one of the plays, according to People.

Founded in 1986, Naked Angels would 'soon became the 'it' place for rising young actors and playwrights that also included the likes of Marisa Tomei, Mary Stuart Masterson, Gina Gershon, Helen Slater and Rob Morrow, among many others.
About five-and-a-half-years later, the couple decided to make their union legal and tie-the-knot, but they didn't let their 1000 guest know ahead of time.
Wanting to surprise everyone, they sent out a standard party invitation, which ultimately led to them exchanging their vows at the Angel Oresanz Synagogue on the Lower East Side of Downtown Manhattan.
The intimate civil ceremony was followed by a reception full of show tunes that continued into the overnight hours, according to Brides.
In a move to avoid attracting attention to their surprise wedding, the fashionista would reveal she wore a ruffled, black Morgane Le Fay dress for her wedding, and confess that it was the first thing she saw when she bought it off the rack.
'I was too embarrassed to get married in white, and both Matthew and I were reluctant to have people pay so much attention to us,' the Nelsonville, Ohio native told Marie Claire in 2006.
A few years later the And Just Like That... star revealed she would wear white if she ever has a chance to renew her vows.
During their 26 years of marriage, the couple welcomed three children: son James, 20, and twin daughters Tabitha and Marion, 13.

In an interview last year, Broderick, 61, confessed that he knew right away that he would marry Parker.
'Oh, the first time I met her,' the Ferris Bueller's Day Off star told Andy Cohen while on Watch What Happens Live, adding, 'I saw her walking down the street and thought "That's it."'
When asked what he admires the most about his wife, the Tony Award winning actor responded, 'Humor and wisdom.'
Parker is set to return to the Sex And The City sequel series, And Just Like That... when season two premieres on HBO max on June 22.
As for the latest on Broderick's career, the New York City native stars in the upcoming coming of age comedy film, No Hard Feelings, alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Andrew Barth Feldman, that premieres in theaters on June 23.
