NVIDIA's Smallest Ada GPU, The AD107-400, For GeForce RTX 4060 GPUs Pictured
NVIDIA's smallest Ada Lovelace GPU, the AD107-400, which will be powering the GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card, has been pictured.

The AD107 GPU is the smallest "107" class chip in years. It measures 146mm2 which makes it 27% smaller than the GA107 and TU117 GPUs. This chip is designed to power entry-level & mainstream GPUs such as the RTX 4060 & RTX 4050 series. The chip has already been introduced on the mobile RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 GPUs and the latest SKU, the AD107-400, will be coming soon to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPUs in July.
AD107 "Ada" GPU Die Size = 146mm2 (TBD Billion Transistors @5nm)
146mm2 (TBD Billion Transistors @5nm) GA107 "Ampere" GPU Die Size = 200mm2 (8.7 Billion Transistors @8nm)
200mm2 (8.7 Billion Transistors @8nm) TU117 "Turing" GPU Die Size = 200mm2 (4.7 Billion Transistors @12nm)

Based on the picture leaked by MEGAsizeGPU, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card will be making use of the AD107-400-A1 GPU. This is the full chip and although NVIDIA hasn't shared the number of transistors yet, we do know the specifications which are as listed below.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Specifications
For the GeForce RTX 4060, NVIDIA is expected to utilize the AD107-400-A1 GPU, the fully enabled AD107 Ada die. Do note that the same configuration is used by the GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU. The chip is expected to feature 3072 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory running at 17 Gbps memory speeds across a 128-bit bus interface. That gives the card 272 GB/s bandwidth which is effectively rated at 453 GB/s or 26% more than the RTX 3060. That's all thanks to the 24 MB of L2 cache.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 should end up with a 35% lower TGP than its predecessor, the RTX 3060 12 GB. The card is said to feature a 115W TGP but actual gaming power consumption should be around 110W with idle power rated at 7W and video playback power rated at 11W. The card will be available in various custom models at launch but there will be no Founders Edition variant for it.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 will be launching in July alongside the 16 GB variant of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card. The card will be priced at $299 US but will not recieve a FE or Founders Edition variant.
