A sneak peek at Akuma and other characters' Street Fighter 6 concept art showcased by Capcom
To commemorate our rapid approach towards June 2, the release date for Street Fighter 6, Red Bull Gaming has released a video that focuses on a deep dive of Capcom's character creation process. Throughout the video, Capcom ends up showcasing a ton of Street Fighter 6 concept art.
Something that's particularly noteworthy is that we get the opportunity to see some concept art for Akuma. Notably, Akuma is slated to be the fourth DLC fighter released for Street Fighter 6. He's expected to become available around spring 2024.
Evidently, it seems likely that Akuma will be continuing how radically his looks have changed since Street Fighter 5 rather than reverting to how he looked in Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 3 (which takes place after Street Fighter 5 in the timeline), and Street Fighter 4. It would appear that Akuma is getting older as his hair is now white instead of red.
Capcom was also willing to unveil a few details about some of the newcomers appearing in Street Fighter 6. For example, Marisa simply started out with the idea of being a "strong woman."
Meanwhile, it was decided that Lily would be a character that was "small, yet powerful." Needless to say, this is quite a different take on T. Hawk's fighting style.
