Lili announced for Tekken 8 in new trailer
After a pretty long string of announcements coming out of Tekken 8, things seemed to have cooled off for a minute, but they're obviously far from done.
Following the conclusion of Tekken 7 top 8 at The Mixup 2023, Bandai Namco announced that Lili will indeed be coming back to Tekken 8 via a new gameplay reveal trailer.
The new trailer begins with Lili chasing her cat Salt before getting ready for battle to show off what she's been working on to up her skills.
Her graceful mix of strikes and kicks are back in full force and looking better than ever before, and the Heat System seems like it'll provide a nice boost for her flip and low kicks.
We're of course treated to a brief glimpse at a pre-fight cutscene between Lili and her eternal rival Asuka, who was previously announced with Leroy, which ends with Lili showing off her new Rage Art that ends with what looks like a pink and flowery version of Guile's Flash Kick from Street Fighter.
Longtime Tekken Director Katsuhiro Harada revealed that Lili's design did not come from within the studio, but he instead approached New Zealand artist Jasmin Darnell to give the French fighter a new look for Tekken 8.

Although there's still no solid release date set for Tekken 8, Producer Michael Murray confirmed they'll be bringing the closed alpha version of the game to more events around the world to players to try out including the previously revealed inclusion for Combo Breaker 2023 as well as an unspecified event for South Korea.
Tekken 8 is currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
