Street Fighter 6 week 1 tier list discussion
We've had the full version of Street Fighter 6 in the lab now for over a week and that means we're just confident enough in our early understandings to offer up some tier lists.
Catalyst, DreamKing, and I share our findings on every one of the 18 initial roster characters in our latest Talk and Block video, arguing and agreeing over which fighters have what it takes to most effectively get the job done and which fighters seem to be lacking at the moment.
Because we've only had a week or so, I decided not to hold the group to ordering each and every roster member in relation to one another (though Catalyst went the extra mile and ordered everyone).
Instead, the goal was to group the characters within four tiers of ability: S, A, B, and C. This is a little more general but also leaves much needed wiggle room for the characters we've had less time with.
When it comes to overlap there isn't a ton between the three of us as we only agreed on same tier level placement for three of the 18 characters. We do seem to have a unanimous idea on who the front runner for worst in the game is right now, and agree on two S tier placements, but that's really it.
As you might imagine, we get into some arguments over who belongs where more than a few times as our little trio appears to have fairly different ways of analyzing the game.
