Netflix fans have spotted a glaring editing fail in Chris Hemsworth's new action film, Extraction 2.

While several viewers have praised the 'bad**s' Hollywood actor and his 'wild' scenes, others couldn't help but notice a moment where the star shields himself from bullets being fired from a helicopter with a ladder.

The scene shows an armed Hemsworth, who plays commando Tyler Rake, opening a roller door as the helicopter sprays a hail of bullets into the confined space he's hiding in.

He then takes cover behind an iron ladder for protection.

Sharing a clip from the movie, which was released on Friday, one fan brutally mocked the scene.

'I’m watching #Extraction2 and Chris Hemsworth has just taken cover behind a ladder,' they tweeted.

The moment captured widespread attention from several others who took to social media to slam the sequel.

'Christ, I thought the 1st one was bad! Terribly overrated,' one wrote.

'I liked the first one but this was pretty awful,' added another.

One fan suggested the VFX editors forgot to place a solid shield in front of Hemsworth's character and instead edited a ladder in.

'[Definitely] forgot to cgi the cover in,' they said.

The Netflix film is a direct sequel to the 2020 action thriller.

Meanwhile many other viewers insist the sequel it's better than the first installment.

Hemsworth plays Tyler Rake, who 'barely survived his grievous wounds from his mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh' and joins his team to take on their next.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: 'Man, #Extraction2 is wild; like a video game bought to life. Hemsworth punching people while his hands were on fire is top shelf entertainment. Very cool train scene as well.'

'30mins into Extraction 2. This is the closest thing to Sex. Chris Hemsworth is so good at Whatever he does,' tweeted another, as a third added: 'Just finished Extraction 2. What a movie! Insane action. Highly recommended.'

Viewers overwhelmingly hailed the high-octane 21-minute long single-shot action sequence.

'Hemsworth is a bad**s and Hargraves directing is slick, it’s got more power, more action and more madness…I loved it!'

Another tweeted: 'Had a great time with this. I enjoyed the first one just fine, but this one definitely upped the game in every single way.

'That 21-minute one-shot sequence was f**king unbelievable. I have no idea how they pulled that off. Hemsworth is awesome. To the next one! #Extraction2.'

Hemsworth performs his own stunts in the film, which includes throwing punches as he is set on fire

'That single continuous shot in Extraction 2 from the prison courtyard… 12 good minutes of pure [fire],' wrote someone else.

Extraction 2 not only stars Hemsworth, but also Olga Kurylenko, Idris Elba, Golshifteh Farahani, Adam Bessa, as well as Daniel Bernhardt.

Hemsworth recently opened up starring in the upcoming action thriller and discussed the stunts that are done in the film during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The father of three stated that the big stunts are, 'the most detailed and exhausting fight training I've ever been a part of.'

He further explained that, 'We sort of went for the moon. In a very crowded world of action, I think we did something that's very unique.'

Extraction (2020) became a hit on Netflix and within only four weeks of its release, raked in a whopping total of around 99 million viewers. Sam Hargrave notably directed both the first film and the sequel.
