Morgan Wallen's Son Indigo Recovering Following Emergency Room Visit After KT Smith's Dog Bites Him In Face
“Yesterday, he bit Indigo in the face and [he] had to have stitches and we spent yesterday morning at the emergency room,” KT revealed.
Morgan Wallen’s 2-year-old son, Indigo “Indie” Wilder Wallen, was rushed to the emergency room and is now recovering after being bitten by a dog that belongs to his mother, KT Smith.
Smith, who is Wallen’s ex-fiancée, took to Instagram stories on Monday afternoon (June 19) to share the unfortunate news in a tearful video message.
“I don’t even know how to start this off, but I will say that this video will probably be… this will be all over the place and I’ll also start off by saying I never wanted to bring this to social media, but he deserves better. I think I’m going to have to stop a lot because of tears so,” she began.

KT Smith’s Dog Bit Morgan Wallen’s Son Indigo In The Face
Smith went on to explain that one of her dogs, Legend, a Great Pyrenees, was involved in an incident with Indie on Father’s Day.
“Yesterday, he bit Indigo in the face and [he] had to have stitches and we spent yesterday morning at the emergency room,” she revealed.
“Since then,” she continued, “We have been looking for options and I just couldn’t bring myself to what everyone else says and what you’re supposed to do, apparently…what the world tells you to do is to put the dog down because they are aggressive and I’ve gone back and forth with that and I knew in my heart that he does not deserve that because he is wonderful and could do really great with a family who doesn’t have small children and maybe just has like a lot of land and just won’t be like crawled over and stuff like that. I don’t want him to go to a kill shelter or nothing like that and shelters are full.”
Needs To Immediately Rehome The Dog
Smith turned to her nearly 400,000 followers to help rehome the dog, who she reportedly found wandering the streets alone last year.
“I figured that I could ask you guys if you knew of anywhere that wasn’t a shelter because I don’t think he deserves a shelter either because he came from trauma being left on the side of the road for months,” she explained. “He doesn’t walk on hardwood floors and he won’t walk on leash, so he needs a yard. Other than that he’s not aggressive. He is great with other dogs. He just doesn’t need to be around small kids that will mess with his food or crawl on him.”
Smith said that Legend is likely around 2 years old and promised, “he’s a great guard dog.” The social media influencer stressed that she needs to rehome the dog immediately before Indie returns home.
“I know there are options that I could have done with keeping him with a muzzle on around the house. He doesn’t deserve that either and I can’t be a mom that keeps a dog in the house when my child is also traumatized probably from that. I can’t be a good dog mom to him keeping a muzzle on him or a good mom in general having a kid just really scared of him in the home. I’m getting Indigo back home tomorrow and he has to be gone by then and I cannot put him down either because like I said he doesn’t deserve that either.”

She Revealed Indigo Is “Okay” But Had To “Have Stitches”
KT Smith also assured her followers that Indie is “okay” before adding, “[his] scar will be minimum. He did have stitches, but he’ll be okay.”
She continued, “I know you guys care about that too and I share so much of my life with him with you guys, but like last night I just keep asking Legend why… It’s hard and he is not aggressive towards adults at all. You can get in his face and you can do anything and he’s still such a good dog.”

Morgan Wallen Co-Parents Indigo With KT Smith
Wallen and Smith welcomed Indie into the world on July 10, 2020. Since then, he’s shared parenting duties with Smith.
In a 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, he weighed in on co-parenting with Smith and admitting that it was “good.”
“ I got no complaints,” Wallen said at the time. “I was worried about it at first, but I feel very comfortable with it and I’m really proud of the way me and his mom handle it.”

The chart-topping country star has been open about how fatherhood has made an impact on his life.
“I think the most important thing for me over the past couple of years, I’m a dad now,” Wallen said in a recent interview with Breakfast Television. “That’s really given me something different to live for.”
Wallen continued, “I don’t know if I’d say I was selfish, but I probably was before that. But now, things just have a whole different meaning for me. So even in the highs in the lows, I always have him. All the time, he’s there. He’s what’s important to me.”
