AMD Radeon RX 7600 Gets Price Drop Down To $249 Ahead of NVIDIA's 4060 Launch
It seems like the price decline for the AMD RX 7000 series has now transitioned to the entry-level GPUs, as the Radeon RX 7600 is now available for $249.
AMD Radeon RX 7600 GPU is Available For $249, a Solid Deal For 1080p Gaming at a Budget
MSI's custom variant of the AMD Radeon RX 7600 graphics card is now listed for $249 at major US retailers, marking a $20 discount from its original MSRP. The variant being offered is the Mech 2X which features a dual-fan cooling design with a black and silver color scheme similar to what we saw in the RX 6000 lineup. The GPU offers performance like any other model out in the market and provides decent temperatures under stress.
The price drop for AMD Radeon RX 7600 was seen at launch in European stores, with a 13% decline from MSRP. The declining trend may be in response to NVIDIA's upcoming RTX 4060 on June 29th. The RX 7600 slightly lags behind the RTX 4060 in raytracing performance, as previously disclosed in leaked benchmarks, but as the expected MSRP for RTX 4060 is $299, we believe the RX 7600 is an excellent choice unless DLSS 3.0 or RT is your main preference.
Ray tracing and upscaling tech is becoming more and more important not just for gaming PCs but on consoles too and that can be seen as a mainstream requirement in future and also, existing titles. At the same time, the older RX 6650 XT can be bought at the same or lower prices and offer similar performance as the 7600. In addition to the RX 7600, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT are also seeing some major discounts at various retailers. All cards come with a free copy of Resident Evil IV Remake which adds an additional $60 US value to your purchase.
