At the cliff house, Steffy tells Liam, who just kissed her, “You can’t do that! I thought I made myself clear in Rome!” She feels bad for him, but he can’t come there and kiss her. “I am a married woman, Liam. Happily married. You need to respect that!” Liam nods wearily. Steffy was willing to forgive and forget about the first kiss because he was so upset. She never expected to talk about it again, but they need to talk about it now. Liam becomes apologetic and Steffy informs him that whatever this is he needs to snap out of it, “This can never, ever happen again.” Liam looks sheepish.
At the cabin, RJ recaps that Liam went to Italy and flew all the way back without seeing Hope because he caught her kissing Thomas at the Colosseum. Hope is worrying about Liam leaving her over this when Brooke walks in and asks, “What’s wrong? What’s going on?” RJ tells Hope this has to come from her. Hope tells her mother, “I think my marriage might be over.” Brooke’s astounded to hear that Liam walked out on her and their marriage. “I think it’s over.”
At Forrester, Ridge tells Thomas they have loads of orders from Rome. His commitment to Hope For the Future really paid off, “I’m proud of you.” Thomas thanks his dad. Ridge figures Hope must feel good about bringing him back on the line. Even Liam has to agree. “You’re important to her and made a big impact on her life.” Thomas marvels that it’s hard to believe that it even happened. Ridge recaps that he earned Hope’s trust. Thomas says it feels good to know that she has faith in him. Ridge says she’s not the only one. He’s so glad his son is over his obsession… it’s good to have him back.

At the cabin, Brooke wants Hope to tell her what happened. Hope says, “Rome happened.” Brooke thinks Liam should be proud of her success. “He wasn’t even there.” Hope replies, “He was, actually. He came and wanted to surprise me.” RJ urges Hope, “Just tell her. She’s not going to judge you.” Hope sighs, “I never saw Liam, but he saw me. With Thomas.” Brooke asks what Thomas has to do with this, “What did Thomas do now?”

At the cliff house, Steffy recaps to Liam that they have both moved on. She’s in a relationship where she feels respected. Liam hasn’t felt that way in a long time. Hope never respected his feelings about working with a maniac. Steffy chastises him for insulting her brother, but Liam brings up their history. He can’t understand Hope even wanting to be near him, much less touch him and kiss him. “Really? Your brother? Really?! How could she want that? How?!” Steffy doesn’t know what to say or how to comfort him, but it’s not with a kiss, “That I do know.” She wants to help him through this. She believes he and Hope will find their way back to each other, “Or not. Either way you can’t just come here and kiss me.” They are always going to be close as Kelly’s parents, but that is all.
At Forrester, Thomas admires Ridge’s sketch and his father thanks him again… for understanding and in his own way, supporting, him and Brooke getting back together. He knows it’s not easy for him, his sister, or his mom. “At least Hope is in a good place to start.”
At the cabin, Brooke grimaces, “I knew Thomas would be a person.” She rants that his going to therapy and becoming a better person was all a lie, “What did he do?” Hope says Thomas didn’t do anything… it was her. Brooke asks, “What could you have done?” Hope says there was something in her that made her want to cross a line. “I kissed the one man that could destroy everything.” Brooke exhales, “So, you kissed Thomas.”
At the cliff house, Steffy tells Liam he has to forgive Hope. They have a beautiful family and he needs to think about that. Liam asks, “Was Hope thinking about Beth when she stuck her tongue down your brother’s throat?” Steffy says he needs to get through the pain and forgive her. People make mistakes. Liam knows that; he’s made plenty. Steffy intones, “Mistakes Hope has forgiven you for.” Liam says she must be a better person than him. How would he move forward co-existing with Thomas. Steffy suggests Hope could leave Forrester and Thomas could take over. Liam can’t do it, “I’m done, I’m done. But… I didn’t mean to upset you and I am rewally sorry for my behavior.”

In the cabin, Brooke thinks Thomas coerced Hope into kissing him. Hope says Thomas didn’t do anything, “It was me.” She flashes to the kiss and says, “I was the one who kissed someone I never should have. I was the one who acted recklessly and irresponsibly.” She laments turning to a man she should be disgusted by. Brooke asks if she wants a life with Thomas. Hope cries, “No, I want my husband.” She loves him and loves her kids. She doesn’t know why she would risk losing everything. “I take full responsibility.” She sobs at the idea of losing her marriage or giving up on it or Liam. That’s not what she wants to do.
