Kyrramarie shows off her curves with the skintight Zero Suit Samus cosplay
Samus Aran has become an extremely popular character since her video game debut in Metroid, released on August 6, 1986. Players only learned that the character underneath the Power Suit was actually a female by fulfilling certain conditions when beating the game.
Though it was technically possible to play as Samus outside of her Power Suit (aesthetically) before, Metroid: Zero Mission — released on February 9, 2004 — introduced the first instance of gameplay differences for "Zero Suit Samus." Near the end of the game, Samus had her Power Suit stolen by the Space Pirates, but they ultimately weren't able to stop her from retrieving it.
In Metroid: Zero Mission, players were relegated to playing stealthily as Zero Suit Samus just wasn't equipped to take down the Space Pirates. Aside from running away, her only defense was an emergency stun pistol that was capable of buying her precious seconds against enemies that were easily defeated by Samus when she had her Power Suit.
Needless to say, the Super Smash Bros. series has provided Zero Suit Samus with a few new tools to ensure that she's a competent enough of a fighter. Ironically, Zero suit Samus has traditionally been higher than Power Suit Samus in the tier lists for all games that both characters appear in.
Zero Suit Samus' emergency stun pistol (now known as the Paralyzer) has been retrofitted to transform into a Plasma Whip. Not only does this extend the fighter's reach, but it also aids in her recovery options.
Starting in Super Smash Bros. 4, Zero Suit Samus was given the Jet Boots. Though her up special doesn't recover as high vertically as other combatants, the Boost Kick is notorious for being a powerful kill move and an excellent out-of-shield option.
Thanks in particular to the Super Smash Bros. series, Zero Suit Samus has her own set of fans that are even separate from fans of Power Suit Samus. As such, Zero Suit Samus has become a popular target among cosplayers.
Indeed, we recently took notice of Kyrramarie's Instagram page where photos of her Zero Suit Samus cosplay are present. Within these photos, Kyrramarie poses in the skintight Zero Suit Samus outfit seemingly at public locations.
In a number of these shots, observers should be able to notice the high heels that Kyrramarie is wearing. Being that these are the Jet Boots, it means that Kyrramarie is specifically portraying Zero suit Samus as she appears in Super Smash Bros. 4 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Additionally, Kyrramarie can be seen holding the Paralyzer. While the Paralyzer certainly isn't unique to the Super Smash Bros. series, it's still a powerful tool nonetheless.
