Creative Skyrim Fan Makes Map Reimaging the Game’s World As a Subway System
Highlights Skyrim fans continue to impress with their creative tributes, like this subway map rendition of the game world, showcasing the dedication of the community.
While the subway map is a unique concept, some fans pointed out ways to make it even better.
As fans eagerly await news about The Elder Scrolls 6, Bethesda's silence on the subject has left players wondering about potential locations for the game and what to expect.
A Skyrim fan has shared an impressive creation that reimagines Bethesda's iconic game world as a subway map. In the past, fans of the game have created its map in many different ways -- one Skyrim fan even made an impressive map out of wood, but this subway map is a particularly unique concept.
Over the years, gamers have continued to return to Skyrim, with its influence on the gaming community seemingly never wavering. This dedication from the community has resulted in some awe-inspiring fan creations, and it takes something truly impressive in order to stand out from the crowd at this point. Recently, one dedicated Skyrim fan made a real-life Daedric dagger, and it's extremely common to see fans bring items from the game to life. Others pay tribute in other ways, such as creating mods that bring Skyrim in line with modern games.

Redditor Amazing-Window-346 shared the cool map online, which was originally created by user sylpheed. It turns the land of Skyrim into a meticulously designed metro system. It's not just the major cities in Skyrim that are featured here -- it even includes many of the smaller towns, as well as key landmarks like the Shrine of Azura and Stendar's Beacon. It even considers how the subway system would connect with the world of Tamriel, with routes that head into Morrowind, Cyrodil, Hammerfell, and High Rock.
Other Skyrim fans in the thread took to the creation and even suggested a few more locations that could be added to flesh it out further, with Castle Volkihar from the Dawnguard DLC particularly mentioned. Another user had the idea to turn this into a functional mod, and given the dedication of Skyrim's modding community, it certainly wouldn't be a surprise to see it come to life. Given the existence of underground Dwemer technology in Skyrim, it could even be made to be lore-friendly in the context of the game world, too.
While gamers continue to pay tribute to Skyrim, fans are still clamoring for more news about The Elder Scrolls 6. The game was revealed five years ago now, and ever since Bethesda has gone nearly silent on the subject. In fact, it's still not clear where exactly the game will take place. There are still plenty of Tamriel provinces The Elder Scrolls is yet to explore, so Bethesda is not short on potential locations when the game is eventually revealed. Hopefully, the picture becomes clearer once the release of Starfield is out of the way this September.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
